YUCCA VALLEY MAN WITH KNIFE ARRESTED, ACCUSED OF ASSAULT

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday evening, accused of assault. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 7300 block of Barberry Avenue in Yucca Valley about 9:15 p.m. Sunday. Witnesses at the scene said Henry Nicometo, 42, had a knife and grabbed a woman and threatened to kill her and her children. Nicometo allegedly cut through the victim’s screen door with the knife. Henry Nicometo was arrested on suspicion of assault, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000.
