Yucca Valley man suspected of overdosing on fentanyl revived by Naloxone

A Yucca Valley man overdosing on fentanyl last week was revived by local first responders.

At approximately 1:32 a.m., County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a drug overdose in the 61000 block of Oleander Dr in Joshua Tree. They report finding a person described as a 39 year-old male resident of Yucca Valley suffering from an overdose in the bathroom of the residence.

Deputies say they administered two doses of nasal naloxone to the unconscious man, who briefly came to before falling unconscious again. Morongo Basin Ambulance and the San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived at the scene, and administered a third dose of naloxone, reviving the man.

The Yucca Valley man was transported to Hi-Desert Medical Center by MBA where he received further treatment.
