YUCCA VALLEY MAN SHOOTS HIMSELF IN HAND

A Yucca Valley man who was showing off a homemade 9-mm pistol to a friend accidentally shot himself in the hand Thursday. Paramedics were called to the 56600 block of Taos Trail in Yucca Valley about 2 a.m. A Sheriff’s report says the unidentified victim was showing a friend his homemade pistol when it accidentally discharged, and he shot himself in the hand. The man was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
