A Yucca Valley man was sentenced to 22 years in state prison Friday for the death of a Joshua Tree man in September 2017. Anthony Colegio, 24, pleaded guilty in November to voluntary manslaughter in the death of Jesse Stoneburner, 32. In September 2017, a man walking his dog in a wash near Aberdeen Drive east of Sunfair found Stoneburner’s body. Colegio was arrested a few days later, accused of murder. November 21, Colegio agreed to a plea bargain, in which the murder charges were dropped and he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter with an enhancement for prior felony convictions.
