A Yucca Valley man was sentenced Friday (October 29) to 22 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of child sexual abuse. Keith Tyerman, 34, was originally arrested in November 2020 following an investigation by a Riverside County Child Exploitation Team. The team was conducting a welfare check on a 3-week-old infant leading to Tyerman’s arrest in his home for suspicion of child sexual abuse. Tyerman was sentenced to 16 years in prison for continuous sexual abuse of a child and 6 years for lewd or lascivious acts with a child for a total of 22 years. Keith Tyerman was given credit for 405 days served (353 actual days plus 52 for conduct) and transferred to the California Institution for Men in Chino.
