A Yucca Valley man was arrested early Saturday morning, accused of breaking into a house and stealing some guns. According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Jason Newport, a friend who was house-sitting in the 6900 block of Yucca Avenue in Twentynine Palms called the Sheriff’s department at 3:08 a.m. to report someone had broken into the house through the front door. During an investigation, deputies recovered the stolen guns, and further evidence led them to Adobe and Sullivan Avenues, where they located Richard Darby, 48, sitting in his vehicle. Darby was eventually talked out of his vehicle and arrested on suspicion of burglary. Richard Darby was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
