A Yucca Valley man was arrested early Wednesday morning after he threw a large rock that hit a female. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to a street fight at Church Street and Highway 62 about 12:20 Wednesday morning. The report states Manuel Tarango, 24, threw a baseball-sized rock at a female, which hit her in the left eye. Witnesses then started attacking Tarango, and knocked him unconscious. The victim was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center, but due to the seriousness of her injury, she was transferred to Loma Linda University Medical Center. After Manuel Tarango was treated for minor lacerations he received when he fell, he was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon, booked into West Valley Detention Center, and is being held without bail for violating the terms of his post-release community supervision.
