YUCCA VALLEY MAN HELD AFTER DRIVING AT OVER 100 MPH

A Yucca Valley man who was stopped for speeding in Morongo Valley Monday night was arrested on no-bail warrants out of Orange County. About 10:45 p.m. Monday, Deputy Erdem Gorgulu stopped Miles Jones, 45, near the Hi-Desert Rod and Gun Club on Yucca Park Road, for driving a 2000 Honda CBR motorcycle eastbound up the Yucca Grade at over 100 miles per hour. Jones was cited for speeding at more than 100 miles per hour; driving without a license, registration and proof of insurance; and for having a fraudulent license plate tag. After an investigation, Deputy Gorgulu determined that Jones was wanted on two no-bail warrants from Orange County for domestic battery and willful cruelty to a child. Miles Jones was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held without bail.
