A Yucca Valley man was arrested Saturday afternoon for being in possession of controlled substances and weapons. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy stopped a car about 1 a.m. near the intersection of the highway and Stardune Avenue for having an obstructed license plate. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy discovered that the driver, David Fritz, 44, was in possession of brass knuckles, a police baton, and methamphetamine and he was arrested for investigation of those crimes. David Fritz was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $35,000.
