UPDATED 7/19/2018 WITH A CORRECTION OF THE SUSPECT’S NAME:

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Friday after he was found with a stolen dirt bike. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies saw a dirt bike parked on the east side of the “new” Stater Brothers grocery store near Sunnyslope Drive and Balsa Avenue about 2:30 p.m. The deputies went over to the dirt bike and saw Zachary McCoy, 30, putting on a helmet as he stood next to the dirt bike. The deputies contacted the registered owner of the dirt bike who said the bike must have just been stolen within the past few hours and that he did not know McCoy, and McCoy did not have permission to use the bike. Zachary McCoy was arrested for investigation of possession of a stolen vehicle, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
