A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after he tried to run over a Sheriff’s deputy on his dirt bike. According to a Sheriff’s report, Jason Arrona, 37, was riding his dirt bike in the 5800 block of Linda Lee Drive in Yucca Valley about 4 p.m. A deputy motioned for Arrona to stop, but the report states that instead, Arrona throttled toward the deputy, and the rear tire struck the deputy’s book. Jason Arrona was eventually detained, and he was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail on three warrants, including a no-bail warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
