YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED ON WARRANTS FOLLOWING FIGHT THURSDAY

A Yucca Valley man who was involved in a fight with another man was arrested on his warrants Thursday. According to a Sheriff’s report, Anthony Garcia, 27, was at a home in the 7200 block of Palo Alto Road and had been drinking, when another man arrived on his motorcycle about 2 a.m. Thursday morning. Garcia and the other man began arguing, which turned into a physical fight. After the fight, the victim left and parked his motorcycle at a nearby house. Garcia allegedly walked up to the motorcycle and pushed it over, at which time the two men began fighting again. The victim said Garcia threw a rock at him, which hit him in the head. Garcia then fled the scene. A deputy located Anthony Garcia in the 56100 block of Onaga Trail, and he was arrested on $65,000 in outstanding warrants from Riverside County, and booked into West Valley Detention Center. A report has been sent to the district attorney’s office to determine if Garcia should be charged with assault.
