A Yucca Valley man was arrested on multiple charges Thursday, following a traffic stop in Twentynine Palms. About 10:30 a.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle for not having a license plate at Baseline Road and North Star Avenue. Driving the car was Charles Lathrop, 64. Not only did the car not have license plates, Lathrop was also allegedly driving with a suspended driver’s license and was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The deputy also found a concealed knife on Lathrop. Charles Lathrop was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a concealed dirk or dagger, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
