YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED ON MORE THAN A MILLION DOLLARS IN WARRANTS

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday morning on more than a million dollars in warrants. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy was searching for a drunk driver on eastbound Buena Vista in Yucca Valley about 2:45 a.m. Sunday. During the area check, the deputy found a vehicle driven by Justin Smith, 29, near Douglas and Yucca Mesa Road. The deputy recognized Smith and knew he was on probation. During a search, the deputy located suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia on both Smith and his girlfriend, Cheyanne Goldsworthy. Cheyanne Goldsworthy was arrested and cite-released for possession of a controlled substance. Justin Smith was arrested on his two arrest warrants, each $501,000, for transporting a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine for sale, and for possession of a controlled substance. Smith was booked at West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $1,002,000 dollars.
