YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED ON BURGLARY WARRANT, DRUG POSSESSION

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Thursday afternoon, accused of burglary and drug possession. According to a Sheriff’s report, a neighbor called deputies about 3 p.m. Thursday to say that a man was jumping neighbors’ fences near Elata Avenue and Joshua Lane in Yucca Valley. When the neighbor confronted the man, later identified as Perry Belden, 24, Belden said he was waiting for his girlfriend. Belden then went into an apartment complex. A woman told deputies that Belden had tried to enter her apartment, but she didn’t know him. Belden then allegedly tried to enter another home nearby. Deputies finally located Belden in the 7300 block of Joshua Lane and arrested him for possession of heroin and on numerous warrants, including an active warrant for burglary in Yucca Valley. Perry Belden was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his total bail set at $85,000.
