A Yucca Valley man was arrested last weekend following an intense act of road rage. According to Sheriff reports, Deputies responded to the Grocery Outlet parking lot in Yucca Valley around 6 p.m. on Saturday (November 13) for a report of a hit and run where a jeep ran over a riderless motorcycle and then into an awning pillar. A witness to the hit and run allegedly followed the jeep and updated deputies on the location of the vehicle. Deputies were eventually able to contact Russell Radar, 69, driving the jeep involved in the incident and reports say that Radar admitted to intentional road rage and the desire to run the motorcycle rider over. Deputies concluded that Radar was road raging through Yucca Valley and that he chased the motorcycle rider into the Grocery Outlet parking lot. While attempting to run the rider over, Radar instead hit just the motorcycle and caused thousands of dollars in damage by hitting the pillar. Following his admission of intending to harm the rider, Russell Radar was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $100,000.
