A Yucca Valley man was arrested Tuesday (April 27) accused of identity theft and being in possession of a stolen vehicle. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies executed a search warrant in the 7500 block of Apache Trail in Yucca Valley on Monday, April 19, at 8 a.m. During their search, Deputies recovered identity theft material and illegal narcotics. The suspect, identified as Derek Burnham of Yucca Valley, was not at the residence at the time of the search. On Tuesday, April 27, Detectives executed another search warrant at 10 a.m. in the 64500 block of Pierson Boulevard in Desert Hot Springs and located Burnham. During their search, Deputies also located and recovered a 2018 Ford F-150 truck which was reported stolen from Texas. Derek Burnham was arrested for investigation of Identity theft with intent to defraud and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $250,000.
