A man in Yucca Valley was arrested for suspected elder abuse and is now facing an attempted murder charge.
Sam Maddox 38, was arrested on Friday (October 6) on suspicion of attempted murder, causing injury in an elder dependent adult, and making threats. He was arrested at 4:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of Cherokee Trail in Yucca Valley, and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center on $1,000,000 bail.
Sam Maddox is expected to be arraigned today on charges of murder and assault, with enhancements for great bodily injury.
