A man was arrested in Yucca Valley for suspicion of threatening and assaulting his elder father.
On Monday (January 29), County Sheriff’s Deputies assigned to the Yucca Valley responded to a house in the 55700 block of Navajo Trail at around 10:30 a.m.
There, Deputies report contacting an elderly man who had been stabbed with a sharpened weapon. Fire department personnel treated the man on scene.
Deputies identified the suspect in the stabbing as Matthew Hubert, 44, who is the son of the victim. Deputies report that Hubert had also threatened to kill the victim.
Matthew Hubert was arrested on suspicion of assault, making threats, and elder abuse, and booked into the West Valley Detention Center on $50,000 bail.
