A Yucca Valley man suspected of multiple burglaries, vandalism, and vehicle theft was arrested Thursday morning. According to a Sheriff’s report, a resident in the 58300 block of Delano Trail in Yucca Valley called for help about 6:39 a.m. She said she was alone in her house and someone had broken in; she then locked herself in the bathroom. The owner of the home returned shortly thereafter and found his garage door open and an outside water faucet running. The owner saw a man, later identified as Kenneth Ryburn, 34, in his neighbor’s backyard. Ryburn ran northbound through the desert. Shortly thereafter, a man matching Ryburn’s description was seen breaking into a vehicle. Ryburn fled and was seen jumping into other backyards. When one homeowner confronted Ryburn with a shotgun, Ryburn ran off again, before deputies located him in front of a home in the 7300 block of Avalon Avenue, and took him into custody. During the investigation, it was discovered that shoe prints matching Ryburn’s shoes placed him at the scene of multiple felonies from earlier in the night, including a stolen vehicle, vehicle burglary, and vandalism. Kenneth Ryburn was arrested on suspicion of burglary, and for a probation violation of felony vandalism. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center where he is being held without bail due to his probation violation.
