A traffic stop led to the arrest of a Yucca Valley man Wednesday (March 16). According to Sheriff’s logs, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling near Santa Fe Trail and Deer Trail in Yucca Valley around 10:30 p.m. for a registration issue. The deputy reported that the driver of the vehicle, identified as James Graham, 62, was found to be on probation. During a vehicle search, the deputy reportedly located a backpack that belonged to Graham, containing approximately 16 grams of methamphetamine, a scale, multiple small plastic sealable bags, and cash. The deputy reported that the evidence was consistent with narcotics sales and subsequently arrested Graham. James Graham was arrested for suspicion of possession of narcotics, possession of a controlled substance, and committing a felony while on release or bail and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000.
