YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED FOR ROBBERY WARRANT AFTER A STRUGGLE WITH DEPUTY

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Friday on a robbery warrant following a routine traffic stop. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy stopped a vehicle at Barberry Avenue and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley about 2:20 p.m. for a defective windshield. In the back seat was Robert Deffenbaugh, 33, who had a $200,000 warrant for his arrest for robbery. Deffenbaugh resisted arrest, but was taken into custody after a short struggle. Robert Deffenbaugh was arrested for investigation of resisting a police officer, and on warrants for felony evading, possession of methamphetamine, and robbery. He was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held without bail. Another passenger in the vehicle, Donald Dora, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, cited and released.
