YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSING CONCEALED KNIFE

A Yucca Valley man, found in a vacant lot about 1 a.m., was arrested early Sunday morning, after a deputy found him in possession of a six-inch knife. According to a Sheriff’s report, a resident near the intersection of Jemez and Santa Fe Trail in Yucca Valley called deputies about 1 a.m. when he saw someone with a flashlight in a vacant lot. The deputy located Aaron Wiese, 43. According to the report, Wiese kept reaching for his waistband, despite commands to keep his hands away from his waist. The deputy searched Wiese and found a fixed-blade knife with a wooden handle concealed inside this waistband, along with a taser and suspected methamphetamine. Aaron Wiese was arrested for investigation of being in possession of a dirk or dagger, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
