Yucca Valley man arrested for investigation into making false reports to 911

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies have been investigating a man who was alleged to have made false reports to 911. Sheriff’s dispatch received what they called numerous calls with false reports from Adam Barone, a 44 year-old resident of Yucca Valley. On Friday (March 6) at around 11:15 p.m, deputies contacted Barone at his home in the 58100 block of San Andreas Road in Yucca Valley.
Adam Barone was arrested for investigation into harassing 911. He was cited and released.
Calling 911 or other emergency services when it is not an emergency is not only illegal, but can tie up lines and operators, preventing them from assisting with real emergencies. Harrassing 911 can be punished with up to six months in jail.
