YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED FOR FELONY EVADING ARREST

A Yucca Valley man is behind bars after he fled a traffic stop early Friday morning. Shortly after 12:30 Friday, Sergeant Trevis Newport stopped Brandon Hull, 27, near the intersection of Pueblo Trail and Elk Trail in Yucca Valley for riding his Honda motorcycle without a helmet. After stopping for a moment, Hull then took off northbound on Elk Trail at a high rate of speed, nearly colliding with another vehicle. Hull lost control of his motorcycle just south of Santa Fe Trail, and took off on foot. Newport followed him to a home in the 55600 block of Pueblo Trail, where Hull was found hiding in a bedroom. Sergeant Newport found a pellet gun that looked like a 45-caliber handgun on Hull. Brandon Hull was arrested for investigation of felony failure to yield with bail set at $100,000, and on a no-bail warrant for a parole violation. In 2009, Brandon Hull pled guilty to possession of a ground blast artillery simulator and an assault rocket simulator.
