A Yucca Valley man was arrested earlier this week, accused of false imprisonment. On Wednesday (October 6) deputies assigned to the Morongo Basin Station were given a report that a female was being held against her will. During the investigation, deputies obtained contact information for the suspect, identified as Chris Burwell, 50 of Yucca Valley.
When contacting Burwell at his residence, deputies could hear the victim yelling in distress inside the residence. Deputies located the female victim and took Burwell into custody without further incident. Burwell was arrested for investigation of false imprisonment. Burwell was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
