A Yucca Valley man wanted on arrest warrants was arrested Wednesday, also accused of possessing stolen checks. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy went to the 7700 block of Mariposa Trail in Yucca Valley about 9 p.m. with an arrest warrant for Christopher Harris, 43. When Harris realized a deputy was at the door, he ran out a back window, but was detained after a short foot pursuit. During a search of the residence, the deputy discovered that Harris was in possession of stolen checks and methamphetamine. Christopher Harris was arrested on his misdemeanor warrants for possession of methamphetamine, driving under the influence, and on a new felony charge of possession of stolen property. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $60,000.
