YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUGS AND FIREARM

A Yucca Valley man was arrested last week for possessing controlled substances while armed. On Thursday, September 30, while on proactive patrol, deputies assigned to the Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) in Yucca Valley conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Ruben Minero, 42 of Yucca Valley. During the traffic stop, deputies located large amounts of controlled substances, narcotics, packaging materials, ammunition, and a shotgun. Minero is a convicted felon and is prohibited from owning or possessing firearms and ammunition. Deputies also served a search warrant at Minero’s residence located at the 6900 block of Mohawk Trail in Yucca Valley where they located and seized additional evidence. 

Minero was arrested for violation of Health and Safety Code 11370.1, possession of controlled substance while armed, Health and Safety Code 11378, possession of controlled substances for sale and other felony charges. Ruben Minero was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held in lieu of $90,000 bail.
