A 37-year-old Yucca Valley man was arrested by Redlands Police Tuesday for attempted murder in connection with a stabbing late Monday night.
Police and Redlands firefighters responded at about 10:30 p.m. Monday, to a call of a man down in the 1300 block of Candela Street. On arrival they found a 40-year-old Redlands man suffering from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics treated the victim and he was transported to the hospital where he was later listed in stable condition.
Witnesses reported the victim was involved in an altercation with another man, later identified as Raymond Sensenig, who was seen fleeing in a dark PT Cruiser. Redlands detectives developed information that Sensenig was possibly in the 34400 block of Glenwood Drive where they located the suspect vehicle.
Detectives obtained a $1 million dollar warrant for Sensenig’s arrest and officers with the department’s Street Enforcement Team set up surveillance on the residence. Raymond Sensenig was arrested without incident for investigation of attempted murder at about 9 a.m. Tuesday and additional evidence was recovered at the location. S.ensenig was booked at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
“From the moment our dispatchers were called regarding this horrific crime, our staff worked quickly to aid the victim, identify the suspect and bring him to account,” said Chief of Police Chris Catren. “This case serves as a prime example of the great work produced by our dispatchers, officers, detectives and special teams on a daily basis.”
