A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday (November 3), accused of armed robbery. Just after 8 p.m. on November 3, Sheriff deputies were called to the Walmart in Yucca Valley for a report of a man riding a bicycle out of the store. The man, Christopher Ainsworth, 18, was stopped by an employee asking for a receipt for the bike when Ainsworth allegedly pulled up his shirt exposing a black airsoft pistol. The employee did not try to stop Ainsworth because they believed the gun was real. Arriving deputies located Ainsworth nearby and subsequently arrested him for investigation of armed robbery. Christopher Ainsworth was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $100,000.
