YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING SHORT PURSUIT

A Yucca Valley man was arrested last week on multiple warrants and a fresh charge of felony failure to yield. On Thursday (October 28) just before 3 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Morongo Basin Station attempted a traffic stop on a motorcycle for not having a license plate. The motorcycle failed to yield to deputies and the vehicle pursuit continued northbound on Highway 247 and Turner Drive in Yucca Valley. The driver was later identified as Jason Erickson, 44, who eventually yielded at Highway 247 and Sunset Drive in Yucca Valley and was taken into custody without further incident. The vehicle pursuit was under two miles and Erickson was found to have multiple warrants for his arrest and was driving without a license. Erickson was arrested for his warrants and investigation of felony failure to yield then booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $615,000.
