A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday following reports of a man with a gun at Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree. According to the Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to the college at 12:43 p.m. for a report of a man with a gun in the student center. The college immediately imposed lock-down procedures on the campus. Deputies found Joshua Goldstein, 34, sitting on a bench in the 300 building interior quad area. He was taken into custody without incident. After a security check of the campus by deputies, the college’s lock-down was lifted. No firearm was located during the search. Joshua Goldstein was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with this bail set at $50,000.
