YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED AFTER TWO STUDENTS EAT POT BROWNIES

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday, after two middle school students were found to be under the influence of pot brownies. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to La Contenta Middle School about 9:21 a.m. by the principal after school staff noticed that two students were exhibiting signs of being under the influence of drugs. Deputies determined that one boy had brought a marijuana brownie to school and shared it with a female student. The students were taken to a local hospital for evaluation and were later discharged. During the investigation, deputies learned that the male student had access to marijuana and pot brownies owned by Timothy Baker, 36, of the 58200 block of Arcadia Avenue. Deputies found two pounds of marijuana and several marijuana brownies at his home. Timothy Baker was arrested for investigation of child endangerment, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000. Child and Family Services took two children at the home into custody.
