YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED AFTER SMASHING CAR WINDOW WITH METAL POLE

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Monday for allegedly smashing his neighbor’s car window. According to Sheriff logs, deputies responded to a residence, just after noon, near the intersection of Santa Fe Trail and Bannock Trail in Yucca Valley after a report that the suspect, James Arch, 58, had reportedly smashed the victim’s car window. Log entries detail that the victim was helping a friend unload things out of the vehicle and while they were in the driver’s seat, Arch approached the vehicle and smashed the driver’s side window with a metal pole. The victim told deputies that the pole had almost hit them and that the glass had cut them. Following an investigation, deputies arrested James Arch for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon and booked him into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
