A 40-year-old Yucca Valley man was arrested Saturday evening after his mother said he threatened to kill her. According to a Sheriff’s report, Mynor Marroquin went to a home in the 7500 block of Bannock Trail about 8:30 p.m. and demanded that his mother give him $40. The woman refused and reminded Marroquin that she had a restraining order against him. His mother told deputies that Marroquin told her he would kill her if she didn’t give him the money, at which time she fled and called for help. Mynor Marroquin was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats and attempted robbery, and on a $60,000 warrant out of Los Angeles county for driving with a suspended license. Mynor Marroquin was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his total bail set at $110,000. In August 2015, Mynor Marroquin pleaded guilty to punching his mother in the face two times, giving her a black eye and cuts and bruises, as well as bruising her arms. He was sentenced to six months in jail and 3 years’ probation.
