A Yucca Valley man was arrested early Wednesday morning following a traffic stop. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy stopped a red Toyota 4-Runner on Highway 62 near Balsa Avenue for having only one working headlight about 12:45 a.m. The driver, Daryll Speer, 22, did not have proof of insurance or registration, and the 2018 registration sticker on the rear license plate was partially torn. Speer claimed to not know how the sticker got on the license plate. Inside the vehicle, the deputy found drug paraphernalia, and Speer allegedly admitted to dumping meth outside the car as he was pulling over. Daryll Speer was arrested on suspicion of felony false vehicle registration, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
