YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED AFTER A PURSUIT THROUGH NEIGHBORHOODS

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Tuesday afternoon following a pursuit through Yucca Valley residential neighborhoods. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy attempted to stop a green Pathfinder for running a stop sign about 2:45 p.m. in the 56100 block of Papago Trail. The driver, later identified as Raymond Grogins, 25, failed to yield to the deputy, and sped off at 50 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour speed zone while driving on the left side of the road. The deputy finally stopped Grogins in the 7400 block of Cibola Trail. Raymond Grogins was arrested for investigation of felony failure to yield, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000.
