A Yucca Valley man is behind bars today, accused of trying to rob the Town Market in Yucca Valley. According to a Sheriff’s report, Brandon Cline, 31, went to the convenience store inside the Chevron gas station in the 56300 block of 29 Palms Highway about 8:35 Saturday morning. When the clerk asked Cline to pay for the bottle of liquor he had selected, Cline is reported to have pulled out a piece of metal and demanded money, after which he fled the scene. Brandon Cline was located at Grand Avenue and the highway and arrested for investigation of attempted robbery. He was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
