YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF VEHICLE THEFT

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Friday night after he was found with a off-road vehicle that had been reported stolen in June. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy was checking vehicles in a motel parking lot in Yucca Valley about 10:30 p.m. He determined a 2001 Yamaha Banshee quad parked in front of a room had been stolen. As the deputy waited for back up to arrive, Joseph Myers, 26, came out of the room and admitted he had bought the quad from an online ad, and that he had it for about a month. The report states Myers was unable to provide any info about the seller or proof of purchase. Joseph Myers was arrested for investigation of possession of stolen property, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
