YUCCA VALLEY MAN, ACCUSED OF USING DRUGS, TASES A MAN, DRIVES OVER CURBS

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday, accused of doing drugs, driving over curbs in a Yucca Valley park, and tasing another man. According to a Sheriff’s report, a witness called deputies just before 4 p.m. to say that a man, later identified as Curtis Coldiron, 37, parked in the Jacobs Park parking lot and began injecting himself with an unknown drug.

When a man told Coldiron to stop doing drugs because there were children present, Coldiron allegedly became upset and drove his red Nissan out of the park, crashing into curbs. Coldiron then turned around and drove back into the park, running over more curbs. The witness said that Coldiron got out of his car with a taser and hit the witness with it before turning it on and tasing the man. Coldiron then left the park again. Deputies located Coldiron and made a traffic stop near Palm Avenue and Stardust Trail in Yucca Valley. Deputies located three packages of suspected heroin in his pocket, Xanax, cash, and the taser in the car’s side door pocket. Curtis Coldiron was arrested for investigation of possession of narcotics for sale and assault, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
