A Yucca Valley man was arrested Saturday after he was found attempting to break into a house carrying a dagger. About 8:20 p.m. Saturday, a neighbor called deputies to report that a man was trying to break into a home in the 7400 block of Church Street in Yucca Valley. Arriving deputies located a suspect, identified as Tim Belle, 50, whom they believe kicked in a door to one residence and broke a window to another. Belle fled when he saw the neighbor watching him, but deputies located him nearby. Deputies noticed that the tip of a dagger was sticking out of his pocket; when he was warned not to reach for the dagger, Belle immediately reached for it. Tim Belle was arrested for investigation of attempted burglary and for possession of a dirk or dagger, booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $25,000.
