A Yucca Valley man was arrested Monday after he threatened to shoot a woman. Deputies were called to the 7200 block of Cholla Avenue in Yucca Valley about 2:15 p.m. Monday. A woman told deputies that her husband, Leonel Garcia, 56, was drunk, and was threatening to shoot and kill her with her own gun and go to her place of business and shoot her boss, too. She told the Deputy she couldn’t find her gun, which had been locked up. The woman videotaped the threats and showed the video to the Deputy, and Garcia allegedly admitted he tried to make the woman fear for her life. Garcia added that he was heavily intoxicated and couldn’t remember where he had placed the gun, which was missing when the deputy arrived. Leonel Garcia was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
