YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF THREATENING TO KILL HIS GRANDMOTHER

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday, accused of threatening to kill his grandmother. Deputies were called to the 58800 block of Sun Mesa Drive in Yucca Valley about noon Wednesday by a caller who said that her grandson, Jerrit Maurer, 31, had threatened her with two knives. She fled to her bedroom and locked the door and called for help. Jerrit Maurer was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
