A Yucca Valley man was arrested in Big Bear Saturday, accused of threatening to kill his girlfriend. Big Bear deputies were called to a motel in the 40400 block of Big Bear Blvd. about 7:45 p.m. for a domestic disturbance. The victim told deputies that her boyfriend, identified as Hugo Benavides, 33, had hit her and threatened to kill her. Hugo Benavides was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse and making criminal threats, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $60,000.
