A Yucca Valley man who threatened to kill a woman was arrested Sunday. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 7600 block of Acoma Trail about 12:40 p.m. Sunday afternoon for a domestic disturbance. The female victim and the suspected, Jeffrey Cardenas, 36, were sitting inside her vehicle when deputies arrived. The woman said that Cardenas had put a handgun to her neck and threatened to kill her. The woman was in fear for her life and called the Sheriff’s Department. Deputies determined that the woman had injuries consistent with her description of what had occurred, and deputies also located a handgun at the scene. Jeffrey Cardenas was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
