YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF THREATENING LANDLORD

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday, accused of threatening to harm his landlord. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 55100 block of Hoopa Trail at 9:45 a.m. Sunday for a landlord-tenant dispute. The landlord called deputies to return about 10:30 a.m. to say that his tenant, Mynor Marroquin, 44, was demanding money from him and threatening him. The victim said that Marroquin sent him a text to meet him at a bank and to give him the money he said he was owed. If he didn’t, Marroquin said he’d go to the landlord’s home and “something bad would happen.” Marroquin then went to the landlord’s home and demanded he come outside, at which time the landlord called deputies. Mynor Marroquin was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
