A Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday (March 14), accused of robbing his former girlfriend. Deputies were called to a home in the 7400 block of Cibola Avenue in Yucca Valley Tuesday, March 9, about 8:45 p.m. by a woman who said that Kenny Lovejoy, 45, had moved out a few days earlier. He had returned that night and forced his way inside the home. The victim said Lovejoy held her down on the bed and choked her, stole money out of her wallet, took her phone, and threw her glasses on the floor so she couldn’t drive for help. She said he also threatened her before leaving. Deputies were unable to locate him, but found him at the home on Sunday. Kenny Lovejoy was arrested for investigation of strong-arm robbery and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000.
