A Yucca Valley man was arrested Thursday after his mother said he stole her vehicle. About 1 a.m. Thursday morning, a woman in the 1600 block of Wamego Trail said James Nobles, 38, had taken her vehicle from her residence without her permission. The deputy located Nobles near Hero’s Market in the 1100 block of Old Woman Springs Road in Landers. James Nobles was arrested for investigation of grand theft auto and possession of stolen property, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
