YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF STEALING AN RV OUT OF TOW YARD

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday, accused of stealing an RV and driving it through the gate of the impound yard. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the Hill’s Tow Yard on Elk Trail in Yucca Valley about 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning. The employee said that a motorhome had been stolen from the tow yard and the thief had driven it through the chain link fence surrounding the property. Deputies located the stolen RV just north of Yucca Valley High School in a vacant lot. With the RV was Raymond Jensen, 25. Jensen, who said he was a transient, allegedly admitted that he stole the RV because he was cold. He said he entered the tow yard through a gap in the fence, stole the keys and drove the RV through the fence to a spot in the desert. Raymond Jensen was arrested for investigation of possession of stolen property, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
