A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday, accused of spouse abuse. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies were called to the 56000 block of 29 Palms Highway on Saturday, February 9, at about 6:20 p.m. for reports of a domestic disturbance. Deputies arrived and located the victim, who was not identified. The victim told deputies that Lucas Clavet, 22, knocked on the front door of the residence and, when the victim answered the door, Clavet pushed his way inside. Clavet reportedly grabbed their child and a car seat and walked out to the parking lot. When the victim attempted to take the child back, Clavet reportedly headbutted the victim’s face, causing injury to the victim’s nose. Clavet left the area in his vehicle before deputies arrived and his whereabout were unknown at the time. The victim said Clavet agreed to return the child and arranged the child’s return. On Wednesday, February 13, Deputy Herrera arrested Clavet while he was attempting to check in with probation. Lucas Clavet was arrested for investigation of domestic violence and
for violation of probation with a no-bail hold and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
